Diabetic Counseling During Pregnancy

Sweet Success Program

Pregnancy can sometimes put a burden on the body's ability to use sugar in the blood. Checking for diabetes in the 7th month of pregnancy is routinely offered to all pregnant women. If diabetes is identified, counseling and medical care can assist the mother in reducing her risk of having birth problems.

Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa's Women's Health Resource Center offers a special program called Sweet Success.
*Sweet Success is a special program to assist pregnant women who are diabetic (type 1 or type 2) and those that develop gestational diabetes to manage this condition.
* Requires a referral from your maternity care provider.

Get more information on diabetes from Sutter Health's www.babies.sutterhealth.org web site.
