Bone mineral density measures the density of your hip and spine and compares it with that of a young healthy adult.
Osteoporosis can place you at high risk for debilitating fractures. Treatments are available to increase bone density and reduce fracture risk.
This is a painless test using about 1/10th the radiation of a chest x-ray.
